Portland Trail Blazers
Enes Kanter is set to be a free agent at the conclusion of this season and Jusef Nurkic is going to be a free agent at the conclusion of the 2021-22 season, which is why a young center is on the Portland Trail Blazers’ wish list.
Right now, the Trail Blazers definitely have a roster that is more than capable of competing for a championship, but time will tell if they are able to achieve their goal. Damian Lillard is playing at a MVP level and with both C.J. McCollum and Jusef Nurkic finally healthy, as well as the addition of Norman Powell, the Trail Blazers will be a tough team to beat this season.
Whether or not they make a deep playoff run, the one weakness of this Portland team is that their frontcourt is still a mess. They are not a strong rebounding team and with them not having any young options in their frontcourt, targeting Mo Bamba could make a ton of sense.

The 7-foot center has the abilities to be an elite-level shot blocker given minutes and in the Trail Blazers’ system where he would be the tallest player for them, he could easily make them a Top-15 rebounding team.
At a low cost, there is no reason why the Portland Trail Blazers should not go after a guy like Mo Bamba, especially if they would not have to give up much value. If they can get Bamba for a second-round pick, then there is no reason why they should not pull-the-trigger on this trade, but if they have to give up anything more, then they should look elsewhere for production, especially since they have the capability to be a championship-contending team with one of the best backcourt in the entire league.
