2. Kyle Lowry

Kyle Lowry was put on the trading block at the NBA trade deadline and was linked to many teams, such as the Philadelphia 76ers. It turned out that the Toronto Raptors could not find the right trade partner so they decided to hold onto their long-time point guard. In the offseason, the team will not have a chance to move him as Lowry is in the final year of his contract. He will be a free agent and will look to sign elsewhere.

Lowry is one of the best players in the history of the Raptors. At 35 years old, he is not part of the future in Toronto and would benefit from joining a win-now team. That is certainly what the Lakers are and what they will be for years to come. Los Angeles could be looking to sign some veteran players that can still play at a high level. That is who Kyle Lowry is.

Kyle Lowry is continuing to put up productive numbers with 17 points and 7.3 assists per contest. The Lakers offered Dennis Schroder a four-year, $84 million extension but he turned it down. It is clear that the front office is interested in locking down the point guard position and Lowry could be that player.

The fact that he was not traded means that Kyle Lowry will not decide where he wants to go. There will be a mutual part between the two sides and the Lakers could be the team to give Lowry a new home. They missed out on him at the NBA trade deadline and could finally make it work in the offseason.
