3. New York Knicks
The Knicks did not make a move at the NBA trade deadline. This is something that we have seen plenty of times over the years. The Knicks have been linked to some big-name players but do not make any type of move. This Knicks’ team is one that should be looking at what blockbuster deal to make in the offseason.
New York seems to finally have a group of role players that can compete. They are currently 24-22 this season. In a poor Eastern Conference, that is good enough for fourth to this point. The Knicks might make the playoffs but they are not championship contenders. Julius Randle is having an all-star season while RJ Barrett is finally coming into his own. The Knicks are just missing that next-level superstar. As good as Randle has been, he is not a No. 1 option long term.
Another thing we are not used to saying about the Knicks is that they have assets to move. They have draft picks lined up from the Kristaps Porzingis deal with the Dallas Mavericks. Also, Kevin Knox and Frank Ntilikina can be used as trade pieces, along with Alec Burks if he is not extended. New York is actually one of the teams that would be able to put together a package for Beal without giving up Randle, Barrett, or Immanuel Quickley.

This would be something to take the Knicks to the next level. They have been a laughingstock for years and the front office needs to continue to add players in hopes of turning it around.
