2. Toronto Raptors
The Raptors seem to have fallen too far behind in the Eastern Conference. They are 18-28 with no signs of improving this season, but that means we could see some more aggressive moves come the offseason. Masai Ujiri is known for some big-time moves and it could happen once again.
Toronto has been linked to stars and Al Horford might not be the name that fans want, but he could improve a unit that needs help. Aron Baynes has started 30 games for the Raptors at center and is averaging 5.9 points per game.
In the offseason, Toronto focused on signing Fred VanVleet to a contract. They were able to get his deal done, but ended up losing both Serge Ibaka and Marc Gasol in the front-court. This is clearly showing ill effects. Horford is a veteran big man that would help the Raptors right away and give them a more viable option.
Toronto has been one of the top teams in the league over the last few years. They have taken a significant step back and that is something that will not last if Ujiri makes a few moves. They are not a team looking to rebuild.
The Raptors will have some options and we can see them come quickly in the offseason. Horford could be a name to keep an eye on.
