3 bold predictions for Victor Oladipo with Miami Heat

Victor Oladipo, Heat

The Miami Heat made a big trade deadline move to acquire star shooting guard Victor Oladipo from the Houston Rockets. It was a move that many saw coming, but one that came late just ahead of the deadline. Now, the Heat are hoping that Oladipo can be the piece they were missing.

Oladipo was traded twice this season, first being sent from the Indiana Pacers to the Rockets in exchange for Caris LeVert and a couple of second-round picks. He has fallen a long way from the All-Star caliber guard that he once was and being viewed as the long-term franchise player for the Pacers.

Following his trade to the Rockets, Oladipo ended up playing in 21 games. He averaged 21.2 points per game to go along with 5.0 assists, 4.8 rebounds, and 1.2 steals. Oladipo shot 40.7 percent from the floor in those games and 32 percent from the three-point line.

With the Heat, Oladipo will be forming a “Big Three” of sorts along with Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo. It’s a “Big Three” that has a lot of questions surrounding it, starting with whether or not Oladipo can get back to being the dynamic star that he once was just a couple of years ago.

All of that being said, let’s dive in and take a look at three bold predictions for Victor Oladipo for the rest of the season with the Heat.
