Why This Is A Good Trade For Los Angeles

This is a good trade for the Los Angeles Lakers because it gives them much needed star talent to team up with Anthony Davis and LeBron James. The Lakers are one of the most fundamentally sound teams in the NBA right now and adding a star guard in Kyle Lowry would only help their odds at repeating as champions.

The Lakers have an uphill battle if they hope to outweigh the Los Angeles Clippers and Utah Jazz in the Western Conference, but adding a veteran star in Lowry could help them do that.

Lowry, this season, is averaging 17.6 points per game, 5.6 total rebounds per game, and 7.4 assists per game for the Raptors in his 15th NBA season. He has shot 43.9 percent from the floor overall and has knocked down 39.5 percent of his three-point attempts.

The Lakers are going to need to land a star player if they hope to repeat as champions, but repeating as champions could be far more attainable if they land Lowry. Lowry is a six-time NBA All-Star and adding that type of player to the starting five of the Lakers could make the competition level insane in the West.
