Why This Is A Good Trade For Indiana

This is a good trade for the Indiana Pacers because it gives them some great draft compensation to build around in the future. The Pacers are on the bubble of postseason play this season, but stashing picks for the future seems like a more logical decision.

In this trade, the Pacers would be able to acquire three future second-round picks and a veteran power forward in exchange for a young point guard who has a very limited role with the team. This deal seems like a no brainer for the Pacers to make as they don’t have a major investment in Aaron Holiday and could flip him for some draft help.

The Pacers aren’t in a position to contend for a title quite yet, but they also aren’t far away. Stacking up draft picks is a great way to make a blockbuster trade to land a big time talent in the near future.

Holiday has been a good piece for the team over the last few years, but his tenure has run its course. It’s time to move on and find as much value as they can for him.
