The Los Angeles Lakers are in for a tough few weeks of the NBA season. With injuries to Anthony Davis and LeBron James, the team is going to be without their two best players for the foreseeable future.

Despite those injuries, the goal remains the same for the team; win an NBA Championship. They will need Kyle Kuzma, Dennis Schroeder and Montrezl Harrell to hold things down in the meantime and hopefully stay afloat. They could also be getting some help before the NBA Trade Deadline to bolster the roster.

According to Brian Windhorst on Hoops View, via NBA Central, the Lakers are a team to keep an eye on when it comes to Terrence Ross.

Ross has been linked to the Boston Celtics as well today, as the Orlando Magic look like they are going to be big sellers today. They have already agreed to trade Nikola Vucevic to the Chicago Bulls and Evan Fournier to the Celtics, so Ross and Aaron Gordon could be next.

For the Lakers, Ross would be an excellent addition to their second unit. They need someone that can get their own shot outside of James and Davis, and he can do that.

He is averaging a career-high 16 points per game with Orlando this season. In addition to the scoring, Ross is also providing more elsewhere with career-highs or career-high-tying numbers in rebounds, assists and steals as well.

Where Ross would help the Lakers is in 3-point shooting. Los Angeles is 22nd in the NBA in 3-point shooting percentage at 35.4 percent. They are 25th with only 10.8 3-pointers per game and 25th with 30.5 attempts per game.

Ross is a 36.9 percent 3-point shooter in his career and that number could go up playing alongside guys like James and AD.

If the Lakers can put together a package that gets Orlando’s interest, Ross presents a great addition to the roster.
