3 Wizards players who could be dealt before the trade deadline

After their late surge before the NBA All-Star break, the Washington Wizards still find themselves on the outside of the Eastern Conference playoff picture looking in, but the gap that they need to close is now very much manageable.

With 10 teams being considered “playoff teams” this year with the two play-in games in the new format, the Wizards could potentially go on a 3-4 game win streak and find themselves in the 9 or 10-seed in the East.

However, it is still a longshot to assume that the Wizards will make the playoffs this year, especially since their whole game plan revolves around Russell Westbrook and Bradley Beal. Both guys are fantastic players and more than capable of carrying the Wizards, but this team has an overall lack of talent on their roster that will cripple them when it matters most.

Rui Hachimura seems to be the only bright spot on this roster outside of their two superstars and these three guys combined do not give the Wizards enough firepower to be able to edge out some of the other teams fighting in the East for a playoff spot.

As a result, we could see the Wizards move one or two players at tomorrow’s deadline in order to either try and acquire future draft assets or players that can immediately help them in their potential playoff push.

With that said, let’s take a look at three players that the Washington Wizards could potentially look to trade by tomorrow’s 3pm EST trade deadline.
