Sometimes a trade can happen between two rebuilding NBA teams that benefits them in the long run. That is what this deal featuring the Minnesota Timberwolves and Sacramento Kings will attempt to do. Both teams are going nowhere this season and have a lot of work to do in the future.
The Timberwolves have quickly fallen apart in the Eastern Conference. They are at the bottom of the standings and have been for a majority of the year. Karl-Anthony Towns has missed some time which caused the team to plummet early on.

Harrison Barnes is having one of his better offensive seasons for the Sacramento Kings this year. He is currently third on the team in scoring and plays a big role, both on the floor and in the locker room. The Kings are in a similar situation to Minnesota.
