Why This Trade Would Benefit The Toronto Raptors
Norman Powell is having a breakout season for the Toronto Raptors, that cannot be argued, but he hasn’t been this good throughout his career. Powell’s 19.6 points heavily outshines his career average of 9.9 points, which means the Raptors should trade him while he’s hot.
The Raptors would also be getting a very solid haul in return for their bench shooting guard in Danny Green and Tyrese Maxey amongst draft capital. Toronto would have different options to work with when it comes to replacing what Norman Powell brings to the table.
Danny Green is a solid shooting guard who could thrive with a change of scenery and an increased role and Tyrese Maxey is an emerging star in the league. Both have very different skill-sets and could help in various ways.

The Raptors, if they make this trade, would be thanking themselves later when they’re in the playoffs in a couple years. The Raptors could be leaning towards a rebuild soon so adding a lot of solid talent and some great draft capital makes this a very wise trade to make.
