Why This Trade would Benefit The Philadelphia 76ers
This is a good trade for the Philadelphia 76ers because they need to add some depth to their shooting guard position. Norman Powell has emerged as a breakout candidate for an increased role with a playoff team, and the Sixers could take a chance on him.
The 76ers are close to having a roster capable of dethroning the 2020 champion Lakers and if they add a star shooting guard like Norman Powell that would put them one step closer.
Norman Powell is averaging 19.6 points per game, 3.1 total rebounds per game, and 1.8 assists per game for the Raptors and he could be a huge sixth man spark for the Sixers.

Every young players’ dream is to compete for an NBA championship and Norman Powell would get the opportunity to do that in Philadelphia. The fact that Powell has an additional year left on his contract could make this move more appealing than going after Victor Oladipo or Bradley Beal.
