3 Rockets players likely to be dealt before the trade deadline

It seems like the Houston Rockets have been in “sell” mode ever since the offseason as they have gone from entering this past offseason as a true playoff contender and championship hopeful, to one of the worst NBA teams in the league that is facing an uphill rebuilding process. In the offseason, the Rockets traded away both Robert Covington and Russell Westbrook and in January, they finally granted James Harden his wish and traded him to the Brooklyn Nets.

Now, in the post-Harden era, the Rockets are still left with some talented players on their roster, but they are not done making deals yet. They just dealt P.J. Tucker to the Milwaukee Bucks and plenty of other players have found themselves a part of numerous NBA trade rumors.

The Rockets have been receiving interest for virtually every player on their roster and with them getting close to having the worst record in the league, they may look to trade away three or more of what is considered their “core” players.

John Wall and Christian Wood seem to be the two big name players on this roster that Houston feels comfortable moving forward with and with some young, key players in Kevin Porter Jr, Sterling Brown and Jae’Sean Tate, the Rockets’ rebuild may not take too long, especially if they can hit the “jackpot” in acquiring future assets during the trade deadline this year.

With the Rockets expected to be the biggest “sellers” at the trade deadline this year, let’s take a look at three players that Houston is expected to take calls on and potentially trade away before tomorrow’s NBA trade deadline.
