The Indiana Pacers could shake up the NBA in a big way in the coming days. With only two days until the NBA Trade Deadline, the Pacers sound like they could be open for business more than anyone anticipated. Malcolm Brogdon and Domantas Sabonis could even be available.

According to Vincent Goodwill of Yahoo! Sports, the Pacers are listening to offers for their point guard, Brogdon. Goodwill reports that multiple teams are saying that the Pacers are listening to pitches for their starting point guard, who is in the second year of a four-year, $85 million contract he signed during the summer of 2019.

It is believed that Indiana is confident in Caris LeVert being able to handle point guard duties if they are proposed an offer they like for Brogdon.

Replacing Brogdon would not be easy, as he is having the best season of his career. He is averaging a career-high 21.6 points per game to go along with 6.1 assists, 4.7 rebounds, and 1.1 steals. He is an efficient shooter and excellent defender, so it will take a good package to pry him away.

Arguably even more shocking than Brogdon packages being listened to is the team monitoring Domantas Sabonis as well. Sabonis, who made his second consecutive All-Star game this year, is averaging 20.2 points, 11.2 rebounds, 6.2 assists, and 1.2 steals per game.

There had always been an assumption that the Pacers would move on from one of their big men, whether it be Sabonis or Myles Turner. It sounded like teams were making calls on Turner earlier in the season, but now it is Sabonis the team is monitoring the trade market for.

There are plenty of teams that would line up to add Malcolm Brogdon or Sabonis to their team. The LA Clippers are in the market for a point guard and Brogdon’s style of play would fit them well. The Philadelphia 76ers and Miami Heat, who have been connected to Kyle Lowry, could also jump into the fray.

Finding a landing spot for Sabonis is more difficult to pinpoint, but the Boston Celtics have been looking for an upgrade up front. The Charlotte Hornets could use a long-term answer in the middle as well, and the same goes for the Heat.
