Wayne Ellington – Detroit Pistons

Much like Kyle Lowry, Wayne Ellington is another veteran player that the 76ers have been rumored to be interested in. Now in his 12th season in the league, Ellington is currently averaging 10.6 points, 1.8 rebounds and is shooting 42.2% from three-point range.

Currently ranking 13th in the league in three-point shooting, the Philadelphia 76ers could definitely use more perimeter-oriented threats on the wing, which is exactly the kind of player Ellington is. He is a very reliable wing in terms of offensive production and could definitely be a key role player for the 76ers in the second-unit.

The best part about Wayne Ellington is that he signed a one-year, $2.56M contract with the Pistons before the season, making things very easy for the Sixers in terms of trading for him. The 76ers are $34.9M over the salary cap and do not have the ability to bring in large contracts without moving a bunch of players around and off their roster, which is why Wayne Ellington makes sense for them.

He is very affordable and he is a veteran player who wants to win games, which is exactly why Philadelphia is a great fit for him. While they are not known for focusing on three-point shooting, Wayne Ellington could be a really solid addition to the 76ers in terms of wing depth and offensive production.
