Nemanja Bjelica – Sacramento Kings
Now in his sixth season in the NBA, Nemanja Bjelica has emerged as a solid veteran target for many teams around the league and could be a sneaky good trade target for the Golden State Warriors. With Draymond Green, Kevon Looney and James Wiseman being the only real frontcourt options for the Warriors, they could really benefit from adding a veteran frontcourt talent like Nemanja Bjelica.
The Kings have been involved in numerous NBA trade rumors over the last few weeks and are expected to be “sellers” at the trade deadline, which is why Nemanja Bjelica could be on the move. Several playoff contending teams have been in talk with the Kings in recent weeks about some of their veteran players, Bjelica included.
In 25 games with the Kings this year, Nemanja Bjelica is averaging 7.4 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and is shooting 46.3% from the floor, 28.6% from three-point range. Over the course of his career, the veteran forward has shot 38.7% from deep, making him a stretch forward that could bring a lot of value to the Warriors.
While $7.1M is a lot to pay a guy like Nemanja Bjelica, who is not a high-level player, he is in the final year of his contract and would be like a “one-year rental” for any playoff contending team that targets him. He is not worth $7.1M, but is one of the better veteran role players available on the trade block, which is why plenty of teams have expressed interest in him.

Nemanja Bjelica is not going to average double-digit points and is not going to be a terrific rebounder, but his ability to play 15-20 solid minutes every night and be a threat from the perimeter is what makes him unique. Not to mention, he is a very solid player to add for depth purposes.
The Sacramento Kings are looking to “sell” at the trade deadline and as a result, Nemanja Bjelica is one of the few players on the Kings that numerous teams have their eye on ahead of the NBA trade deadline.
