Myles Turner – Indiana Pacers

With Montrezl Harrell being gone, the Clippers have turned to Serge Ibaka and Ivica Zubac for production at the center position and while they have done a great job in their roles, the Clippers are still missing that high-impact player in their frontcourt they desperately need. Myles Turner can be that kind of player, but it would be very hard for the Clippers to trade for him.

The Pacers love what they have in their shot-blocking center and have reportedly not made him available in trade talks, but he is absolutely the player Los Angeles needs to maximize their chances to win a championship.

Based on recent NBA trade rumors, the Indiana Pacers have shot down all trade talks pertaining to Myles Turner over the last few weeks and they intend to keep him through this season, but for the right offer things could change.

If the Clippers were to target Turner, they would likely have to get another team or two involved in this trade to get the Pacers the assets they need in return. L.A. only has one first-round pick (2027) over the next seven drafts and virtually no young talent to trade in return for Myles Turner, which is why they would have to try and make this trade happen through the assets of other teams at the expense of some of their impactful role players.

If the Clippers could pull off this trade for Myles Turner, it would be an absolute steal! Turner is one of the best shot-blockers, if not the best shot-blocker, in the league and with him being just 24-years old, he could be a high-level center for many years to come.

Not only is he leading the league in blocked shot this season with 3.4 blocks per game, but Myles Turner is also a threat from the perimeter, shooting 32.1% from deep this season and 35% from deep over the course of his career.

His numbers may not say he is a dominant offensive player, but in the Clippers system, Myles Turner could be that third, high-level, high-impact player they need on both ends of the court to be the team to beat in the Western Conference.
