This Magic-Timberwolves trade features Ricky Rubio

There are certain teams that should look to move some assets at the NBA trade deadline. This is where both the Orlando Magic and Minnesota Timberwolves stand in the second half of the season. This is a potential deal that could move some veteran players around.

The Magic have fallen behind in the Eastern Conference. They were postseason competitors in each of the last two years but were not able to capitalize on a decent start to the season Injuries have taken over in Orlando. Markelle Fultz is out for the season with a torn ACL.

Both Aaron Gordon and Evan Fournier have missed about half the season as well. This has caused the Magic to become one of the worst teams in the East this season. They are in a position to be sellers but this deal would not be that.

The Timberwolves are another team down near the bottom of their conference. This is the reason we have seen some big names like Karl-Anthony Towns and D’Angelo Russell in trade rumors since the offseason.

No one on the Wolves is safe right now aside from Anthony Edwards, who was taken with the first-overall pick in this draft. The Timberwolves have had trouble competing and this is something that is not on the horizon with the way things are looking.

When we get to the trade deadline, both of these teams could be busy. Here is one that would feature both sides.
