This Bulls-Hornets trade is centered on Terry Rozier

With Zach LaVine continuing to elevate his game to new heights and young, highly talented players on this roster stepping up into bigger roles, the Chicago Bulls are actually a sneaky good team this NBA season. Billy Donovan has done a good job turning things around in Chicago during his first year and as a result, the Bulls are currently very much in the playoff picture in the Eastern Conference.

Now in his fourth season with the Chicago Bulls, Zach LaVine made his first All-Star appearance of his career and is currently one of the best offensive players in the league. This season, the 25-year old shooting-guard is averaging 28.4 points, 5.2 rebounds, 5.0 assists and is shooting 52.9% from the floor, 44.1% from three-point range and 86.1% from the free-throw line.

Only 8 players in the history of the NBA have averaged 50%+ shooting, 40%+ three-point shooting and 90%+ free-throw shooting during a season and Zach LaVine has a chance to join the illustrious “50-40-90” club this year. He would join Larry Bird, Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, Reggie Miller, Steve Nash, Dirk Nowitzski, Mark Price and Malcolm Brogdon as the only other players to achieve this feat.

The Bulls are a really solid all-around basketball team, but ultimately, this team is going to go as far as Zach LaVine is able to take them. As a result, Chicago could look to make a big move at the NBA trade deadline to get LaVine a “partner” that could take a ton of pressure off of him to be the focal point of this Bulls’ team. This will be something to watch in NBA trade rumors.

While LaVine would still be the Bulls’ best player, going out and trading for Terry Rozier could ultimately give this team enough firepower to make the playoffs and make some noise late in the year. So how could the Bulls potentially pull off this trade with the Hornets?

Let’s take a look at a trade scenario that would send Terry Rozier to the Chicago Bulls, forming a lethal backcourt duo of Rozier and LaVine.
