After seeing their NBA championship hopes disappear last season, the Los Angeles Clippers have once again solidified themselves as one of the top teams in the league. They currently find themselves amongst the Top-4 teams in the Western Conference and with both Kawhi Leonard and Paul George running things for this team, they should once again be in the championship conversation.
The only question is whether or not this team has enough firepower to make it all the way to the Western Conference Championship because they definitely have the experience. After losing last season’s Sixth-Man of the Year, Montrezl Harrell, in free agency, the Clippers made it a mission to go out and acquire as much experienced, veteran talent as possible.
Now, not only are they one of the oldest teams in the league based on average age, but they have guys that know what it takes to win. The Clippers currently rank 2nd in offensive rating this season and while they have struggled at times defensively, they are still a Top-10 defensive team in the league.
This team will go as far as both Kawhi Leonard and Paul George are able to take them, but the Clippers may not be done making moves just yet. They do not have much cap space to be able to pursue some big names at the trade deadline, but they do have some bigger contracts they could move around for a guy like Myles Turner.

With L.A. having a need for a reliable center outside of Serge Ibaka and them being a defensive-focused team, this move could make a lot of sense and help elevate the Clippers to their first Western Conference Championship in team history.
So what would Los Angeles have to give up to acquire the Defensive Player of the Year front-runner? Let’s take a look at a trade that would send Myles Turner to the Clippers, shaking things up atop the Western Conference standings.
