The Minnesota Timberwolves once again find themselves at the bottom of the Western Conference. As we approach the NBA trade deadline, we could see some selling going on in Minnesota. This is a chance to unload one of their better players for a return that would continue the rebuilding process within the franchise.
D’Angelo Russell would be the name being sent away here. The Timberwolves have been in NBA trade rumors featuring their big names because of their current 9-31 record. Russell has played 20 games this season and is averaging 19.3 points. Karl-Anthony Towns is another name that was mentioned in NBA trade rumors.
Minnesota has the flexibility to do whatever they would like and all players are available, outside of Anthony Edwards. The Timberwolves have some players that have value and they could look to take advantage of that.
The Chicago Bulls could be looking to improve their backcourt even further. Zach LaVine is an all-star guard on the perimeter. He is leading the Bulls with 28.4 points per game. LaVine has quickly turned into one of the best scorers in the game and has taken over Chicago.

If the Bulls want to continue to grow, they could add another dynamic guard. Lauri Markkanen is a big trade piece because of his ability to play as a stretch four. Chicago has some hopes of taking it to the next level moving forward and a big-splash trade could help.
Russell would join LaVine and create a strong duo in the backcourt of the Bulls. This is what a potential deal might look like as we creep closer to the NBA trade deadline.
