D’Angelo Russell spent time with the Brooklyn Nets and was able to lead them to the playoffs. He could be apart of another playoff team in New York and this one would be an even bigger deal.

The Knicks have some assets they would be able to send Minnesota to help their rebuild.Obi Toppin has been unimpressive during his short time with the Knicks. He has been unable to get comfortable in the league and it not contributing.

Frank Ntilikina could benefit from a change of scenery while Alec Burks is playing on a one-year deal this season. The Knicks also have some first-round draft capital from the Mavericks in the deal that sent away Kristaps Porzingis.
