Why This Trade Would Benefit The Phoenix Suns
It has been quite sometime since the Suns were relevant in the Eastern Conference. Devin Booker has been one of the best scorers in the NBA for years now but the team was unable to land that star to go with him.
Phoenix knows that it takes a group of stars to win and this is why they acquired Paul. The team could continue to be aggressive at the NBA trade deadline in hopes of keeping pace.
To this point, the team has done more than keep pace. They are currently second in the West and are just 2.5 games behind the Utah Jazz for the No. 1 seed. Grant is showing that he could score at a high rate. This is something the Suns would like to have along with Booker.

The true benefit for having Grant is his ability to knock down a three and defend at an elite level. He is an extremely important player and would help any team that he does too. That is just the skillset that he has.
Phoenix is looking to get back to the days where they were a force in the conference. They could do so by continuing to add stars to the rotation.
