This Pistons-Suns trade features Jerami Grant to Phoenix

The Detroit Pistons are one of the worst teams in the Eastern Conference which means they could be looking into selling at the NBA trade deadline. If this is true, Jerami Grant could be the first name gone because of his current value and the return they could get. The Phoenix Suns are a team that could be interested in Grant.

The Pistons are currently 10-28 this season. They were aggressive in the offseason when they made moves to improve the frontcourt. This included players like Grant and Mason Plumlee. The overhaul of the frontcourt showed that Blake Griffin was going to be on his way.

The two sides eventually agreed to a buyout and he ended up signing with the Brooklyn Nets. Derrick Rose was sent to the New York Knicks and the veteran players were finally gone. Detroit is officially in full rebuild mode and this means Grant could be their biggest trade piece.

It is time for the Suns to officially go for it and this could be the year. They are currently second in the Western Conference with a 25-12 record. Phoenix showed last year that they were on the rise as they won eight straight down in the bubble but ultimately missed the postseason.

This led to the team acquiring Chris Paul from the Oklahoma City Thunder in the offseason. They finally got another next-level superstar to pair with Devin Booker. The move is paying off right away and the Suns could continue to improve at the NBA trade deadline.

With two elite teams in Los Angeles and one in Utah, the Suns know they will need to continue to improve. This is a move that could do so right away.
