After being one of the worst teams in the NBA over the last few seasons, the Chicago Bulls have turned things around and look like they could be in contention for a playoff spot this year. First-time All-Star Zach LaVine has continued to elevate his play, but overall, the Bulls do not have that bad of a roster.
Second-year guard Coby White has been getting better and better with and without the ball in his hands, Wendell Carter Jr, is molding into a really solid big man and rookie Patrick Williams has been putting together a really solid rookie season.
With young players molding into talented rotational players and veteran players like Thaddeus Young contributing at a high-level, the Chicago Bulls definitely have the makings of a potential playoff team this year, but they could look to make some moves ahead of the trade deadline.
Fourth-year big man Lauri Markkanen recently returned from a shoulder injury and while he has played really well when he has been on the court this season, he is a player that Chicago could look to move on from, especially since both sides failed to reach an agreement on a contract-extension prior to the start of the season.
Without Markkanen in the lineup, the Bulls have still found ways to win with Thaddeus Young and Wendell Carter Jr. controlling the frontcourt, which is why Markkanen may not hold as much value to the Bulls as he did entering the year.
If the 23-year-old forward does become available in trade talks prior to the trade deadline, then here are the three teams who should look to pursue a trade for the former 7th overall pick.
