Indiana Pacers Receive: F Harrison Barnes
Sacramento Kings Receive: G/F Jeremy Lamb, G/F Justin Holiday, F JaKarr Sampson, IND 2022 1st Round Pick
After losing in the first-round of the playoffs for five consecutive seasons, the Indiana Pacers are finally looking to change their fortunes this year. T.J. Warren has only played in 4 games this year due to a foot injury and Caris LeVert just made his debut with the Pacers, which is why they could really benefit from adding a consistent, veteran option on the wing like Harrison Barnes.
The Pacers currently rank 17th in the league in offensive rating and at times, look lost on the offensive-end of the court. Blown leads in the fourth quarter and lack of second-half scoring has really hurt this team to this point in the year. Malcolm Brogdon and Domantas Sabonis can only do so much for this team and if they are to contend in the playoffs, yet alone make the playoffs at this rate, then they will have to look for ways to add more talent to their roster.
Giving up Jeremy Lamb, Justin Holiday and JaKarr Sampson definitely hurts the Pacers’ overall depth, but if they are to be a true threat in the Eastern Conference, they will need to be willing to add talents like Harrison Barnes.
For Sacramento, they are one of the few teams that are expected to be big-time “sellers” at the trade deadline this season. Harrison Barnes is very much in-play to be moved for the right price, which is why they could be interested in what the Pacers have to offer.

The Kings have virtually no depth on their roster outside of their starting rotation and they could really use more talented players on the wing, which is why they could be interested in both Jeremy Lamb and Justin Holiday.
Both guys have been really solid role players for the Pacers to this point in the season and are both under contract through next season as well, giving the Kings two guys they can utilize in their rotations moving forward.
There is value to be received on both sides of this trade, which brings us to talk about why this trade makes sense for both the Kings and Pacers.
