Miami Heat Receive: G Victor Oladipo
Houston Rockets Receive: G Goran Dragic, G Kendrick Nunn, F Chris Silva, MIA 2026 1st Round Pick
Victor Oladipo to the Miami Heat has been a common fixture of NBA trade rumors that have been going on for months now, but this time, they may actually be true. Oladipo reportedly wants to play in Miami and with plenty of trade assets, the Heat could realistically make this happen.
If they are not going to give up Tyler Herro or Duncan Robinson in a deal for Oladipo, the Heat would almost definitely have to be willing to trade Kendrick Nunn and veteran guard Goran Dragic. If the Heat are to give up this much value though, they would almost definitely have to receive a long-term commitment from Oladipo ahead of time.
Getting Victor Oladipo would be a major upgrade from both Nunn and Dragic for the Heat, even though Nunn has a very bright future. Kendrick Nunn has emerged as more of an offensive weapon whereas Oladipo can play both ends of the court, making him a valuable trade target for the Heat.
This season has been a roller coaster ride for the Houston Rockets as they have gone from being a playoff contender, to a playoff hopeful, to going into a rebuild and being one of the worst teams in the league. They are just a couple of games away from having the worst record in the league, which is why they should be more than willing to gather as many future assets as possible.

Houston traded for Victor Oladipo with the initial mindset of pairing him with John Wall in the backcourt, but if they can get a deal for some high-level young talent, the Rockets would definitely consider trading away Oladipo, especially since they are in a position where they are trying to make the best moves to set them up for future success.
With that being said, let’s take a closer look as to why this trade makes sense for both the Houston Rockets and the Miami Heat.
