3 teams who will look to be “buyers” at the trade deadline

With just over a week left until this year’s NBA trade deadline, trade rumors are starting to heat up and with teams starting to separate themselves during the second-half of the season, we can expect to see plenty of big moves made this year.

This past Saturday, we saw the first of what will be many trades completed through March 25th with the Thunder and the Pistons exchanging some young talents. Oklahoma City traded away Hamidou Diallo in exchange for Svi Mykhailiuk and a 2027 second-round pick. While this is not a major move by either side, both Diallo and Mykhailiuk have been putting together solid seasons and could both see their roles increase with their new teams.

While some teams will look to trade away players on their roster in hopes of rebuilding during the offseason and in the future, there are plenty of teams that will look to add talent at this year’s trade deadline to not only aid them in their potential playoff push, but for some teams, their championship push.
