The Washington Wizards currently have the leading scorer in the NBA in Bradley Beal. He has shown great loyalty to this franchise and does not seem interested in being traded but the Wizards could have other ideas as we approach the NBA trade deadline. He is a player that would land a massive return and this would help towards Washington’s rebuild.
The Wizards were already involved in one blockbuster deal when they acquired Russell Westbrook from the Houston Rockets in exchange for John Wall. The backcourt to do all of Bradley Beal and Russell Westbrook was supposed to be electric and it has been by individual standards.
The success has not carried over to the team and the Wizards are once again near the bottom of the conference. They could finally decide to be sellers and send Beal away if they find the right trade partner.
That perfect partner could be the Memphis Grizzlies. Memphis is currently 16-16 in the Western Conference and could be looking to make a move to climb up the standings. Ja Morant is one of the best young players in the league and quickly has turned into a star.
Adding Bradley Beal in that backcourt would take Memphis to the next level. This is something they need in a very difficult conference if they want to clinch a playoff spot.
Memphis has some assets they would be able to send Washington in a deal such as this one. Let’s take a look at how Beal could end up in a Grizzlies uniform this season.
