3 under-the-radar trade targets for the Washington Wizards

DeMar DeRozan – San Antonio Spurs

While he is not really an under-the-radar trade target league wide, he is definitely a “low-key” guy for the Wizards because not many teams are expecting Washington to make a huge move. With Beal and Westbrook both absorbing a ton of cap space on this roster, it would be hard for the Wizards to trade for DeRozan, but they could make it work if they are willing to trade Davis Bertans.

Adding DeMar DeRozan to this team definitely gives them the offensive firepower they need to make a run during the second-half of the season and creating an All-Star trio of Russell Westbrook, Bradley Beal and DeMar DeRozan could definitely put the Wizards in the playoff conversation in the East.

They would still have an overall lack of talent on their roster, but dealing with these three players would be a headache for any other team in the league. They could easily get 80+ points combined from these three guys on any given night and if they could tighten things up defensively, all of a sudden, the Washington Wizards are a really solid basketball team.

It would take a lot to acquire DeMar DeRozan and the Spurs may not even want to trade the veteran forward, so the Wizards could look elsewhere at the NBA trade deadline.

Overall though, adding a talent All-Star talent on the wing would do wonders for the Washington Wizards and would definitely give them enough firepower to not only make the playoffs, but possibly win a first-round matchup.
