Victor Oladipo – Houston Rockets
While his name has been brought up a lot recently in trade talks, the latest trade buzz is circulating around Victor Oladipo going to the Warriors. Again, much like the Harrison Barnes scenario, trading for Oladipo would cost Golden State a lot of money and force them to trade either Oubre or Wiggins, but the Warriors seem highly interested in Victor Oladipo.
The former All-Star guard has worked his way back from a brutal torn quadricep tendon injury and looks like the high-level combo-guard he once was. Since being traded to the Rockets in January, Oladipo has averaged 19.9 points, 4.9 rebounds, 4.7 assists, 1.4 steals and has shot 38.7% from the floor.
The only concern about trading for Oladipo is that he is in the final year of his contract and there has been a lot of speculation that he could be on his way to Miami next offseason. Kelly Oubre Jr. is also in the final year of his contract, making him the likely player the Warriors would give up to acquire Oladipo, but the big question yet to be answered is if this trade is worth it in the long-run for the Warriors because they do like Kelly Oubre Jr. and could look to re-sign him in the offseason.
If the first-half of the season has said anything about the Warriors, it is that they are more than capable of making the playoffs this year, but it is unknown if this team can actually compete at a high enough level to potentially beat some of the top teams like the Jazz, Clippers and Lakers out West.

Trading for Victor Oladipo would definitely be a huge statement by the Golden State Warriors and potentially give them the firepower they need to match up with anyone in the league. Steph Curry is going to continue to be great and Draymond Green has been playing his role as the “triple-double” guy perfectly, so all this team needs is that other high-level scorer next to Steph. Could Oladipo be this guy and create something special in the Bay Area?
