Harrison Barnes – Sacramento Kings

Bringing back Harrison Barnes may sound like a crazy move for the Golden State Warriors, but it could actually make a ton of sense. The Kings seem like they are a team who are going to be “sellers” at the deadline and may look to move some of their older players, which means the Warriors could get Barnes at good value.

The Celtics have been a team that has popped up a lot in trade rumors as it relates to Harrison Barnes and they have expressed strong interest in trading for him, but the Warriors could greatly benefit from adding Barnes back to their roster.

Outside of Kelly Oubre Jr. and Andrew Wiggins on the wing, the Warriors do not have many reliable wing players and with Barnes already being familiar with playing in Golden State’s system, he could be the perfect fit for them to make a deep playoff run.

Harrison Barnes is a very underrated wing in the league and this season with Sacramento, Barnes is averaging 16.7 points, 6.1 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and is shooting 39.2% from three-point range. The Warriors would definitely have to move one of their bigger contracts since Barnes is owed $22.2M this season, but his ability to play numerous positions and still contribute at a high-level offensively is why he could be an under-the-radar trade target for the Warriors.

His pay range may be too much for the Warriors to handle at the trade deadline, especially since they will probably want to keep both Kelly Oubre Jr. and Andrew Wiggins as it pertains to a Harrison Barnes trade, but at the end of the day, he could still be a great player for the Warriors. Not too long ago, Barnes was one of the “go-to” scoring options on a Golden State Warriors team that won the NBA Finals and he could still be that same player for them if they were to bring him back.
