This is an NBA trade deadline deal that could happen between two teams in very different positions around the league. The Los Angeles Clippers are currently 24-14 and one of the favorite to win the championship. The Cleveland Cavaliers are on the opposite end of the spectrum at 14-22 looking to rebuild.
The two sides could get together to find a deal that fits both needs. Los Angeles has been in the market for help at the point guard position since the offseason. They did not land one and Patrick Beverley remains the starter at the top of the offense.
The Clippers are once being led by Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. Leonard leads the way with 26.6 points per game while George is right behind him with 23.7. This trade would not land them their point guard but it would give them another versatile player on the perimeter.
Cleveland has some young players in the backcourt were taking the next step. Collin Sexton is turning into a strong offense of player averaging 24.1 points per game. Darius Garland is another young guard who is looking strong with 16.1 per game.
