The New York Knicks have been one of the most active teams ahead of the upcoming NBA trade deadline. After getting off to an impressive first half of the season, the Knicks are 19-18 and the No. 5 seed in the Eastern Conference. Now, they are targeting Lonzo Ball, Victor Oladipo, and Terry Rozier in trade talks.

That comes from Marc Berman of the New York Post. It’s not surprising, as the Knicks would like to make an impact move to bolster their playoff chances.

All three guards would be welcome additions for the Knicks. They would all provide New York with more scoring and playmaking. If they can get one of them, they will certainly be in a better position to contend in the Eastern Conference standings.

Lonzo Ball has had a solid season with the New Orleans Pelicans and his improved offensive game is a big reason the Knicks should and do have interest. He has averaged 14.5 points, 5.1 assists, and 4.2 rebounds per game. Ball has shot a career-high 38.7 percent from three-point range.

Victor Oladipo was traded to the Houston Rockets earlier this year and has played in 15 games with his new team. In those appearances, he has averaged 19.9 points, 4.9 rebounds, 4.7 assists, and 1.4 steals per game. He may not be the All-Star that he once was, but he would still be a nice upgrade for the Knicks.

Finally, the Knicks have long had interest in Terry Rozier. He has had a big-time season for the Charlotte Hornets thus far, averaging 20.5 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game. Rozier has shot 49 percent from the floor and 43.9 percent from the three-point line.

It will be interesting to see what the Knicks end up deciding to do at the trade deadline. They have quite a few targets and have to feel good about being aggressive for a trade with the success they have had so far.

Expect to continue hearing rumors about them and don’t be surprised if they are able to land one of these players ahead of the deadline.
