Why This Trade Would Benefit The Washington Wizards
John Wall requested a trade in the offseason and was granted his request and ultimately sent to the Houston Rockets. Bradley Beal and Russell Westbrook have come up in various NBA trade rumors but this could be a deal to add another player.
Davis Bertans signed a five-year, $80 million contract in free agency. He has been coming off the bench for the Wizards and is still one of the top three-point shooter in the game. Rui Hachimura has taken over starting role in the frontcourt along with some other options.
This unit is extremely weak for the Wizards which is why a veteran like Aldridge could come in and change their fortune. He would serve as a leader on and off the court and be a mentor for the next generation of players.

The Wizards know they have to make many moves if they want to compete in the near future. It seems like it’s going to be years but this could be a move that point them in the right direction.
