This Spurs-Wizards trade features LaMarcus Aldridge to D.C.

When looking at the San Antonio Spurs, they are a team that has to veteran players and NBA trade rumors since the offseason. DeMar DeRozan and LaMarcus Aldridge have been the focus of those and could be on the move sooner than later. In this particular deal, the Washington Wizards would offer a return for Aldridge.

The Spurs are currently 18-14 at the All-Star break and looking like a postseason contender. They missed the playoffs for the first time in 22 years last season and are looking to get back right away.

Young players like Dejounte Murray hand Keldon Johnson have stepped up in a big way and are looking like the centerpiece players for the future. This means the veteran options could be on the move because of their current contract situations.

The Wizards could be looking to add one of them in hopes of dumping some other players. Washington had it Russell Westbrook in the offseason in a trade for John Wall.
