3 under-the-radar trade targets for the Boston Celtics

It seems like this NBA season, the Boston Celtics have never been fully healthy. First, Kemba Walker was out to begin the year after rehabbing from an offseason knee procedure, and then numerous players, including Jayson Tatum, were out due to health and safety protocols. Then Jaylen Brown was banged up and now Marcus Smart has been out due to a calf strain.

We have not seen the Celtics at full strength for what seems like forever now and as a result, this could hinder their chances of making it to the NBA Finals. That and the fact that outside of Walker, Tatum, and Jaylen Brown, this team has virtually no reliable talents.

Boston’s bench currently ranks 25th in the league in scoring and their bench has been a problem for years now. The Celtics could look to add another All-Star type talent to their team, but unless they also add some bench depth, then this team will likely come up short of their ultimate goal of making the NBA Finals once again.

After starting the year 7-3, the Celtics entered the All-Star break 19-17 and have been very up-and-down in terms of production. The downward spiral this team is trending in is not good at all, which is why they could look to make a couple moves at this year’s trade deadline, especially if they cannot land another All-Star talent.

With that said, let’s take a look at three under-the-radar trade targets who could have big impacts on the Celtics’ chances of making a deep playoff push again this season.
