This Magic-Mavericks trade is centered on Evan Fournier

The Dallas Mavericks are a team that we would not be surprised to see shake things up at the NBA trade deadline. After a postseason birth last year, the Mavericks were expecting to become a staple with the duo is Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis. So far this season that has not been the case.

The Mavericks have been extremely mediocre and could be looking to make a move. Luka Doncic is one of the best players in the game but Dallas struggles with their depth. Porzingis has missed time with an injury but he is extremely effective when on the floor.

Due to his injury history, Porzingis is one of the names we have seen floating around in NBA trade rumors. This deal does not involve Dallas giving up any big names but getting a solid offensive player.

That player could be Evan Fournier. The Magic are another team that came into the season hoping to make the playoffs. After two straight postseason berths in a weak Eastern Conference, Orlando got off to a hot start. They have since come back down to Earth and are not looking good so far.

Because of this, Orlando has been rumored to be interested in it blowing it up a bit. Nikola Vucevic seems like the only untouchable player who is going to be around long-term.

These are two teams very similar positions which means they could fit well in a trade. Let’s take a look and see what a potential deadline deal might look like between the two sides.
