Why This Trade Would Make Sense For The Houston Rockets
The Houston Rockets are in the process of a full team rebuild. We have already seen them deal away their superstars in James Harden and Russell Westbrook this season and there are sure to be more deals on the horizon. Victor Oladipo appears to be the most likely candidate to be next.
Dealing away Oladipo makes too much sense or them not to consider any offer they get and choose to accept the best one. The Knicks may be able to give them the best offer.
The Rockets would be able to acquire some solid role players in Kevin Knox II and Alec Burks which could lead to success in the future. Burks is also on an expiring contract and could fill the void of volume scorer better than Oladipo in the short-term. Meanwhile, Knox could benefit from more opportunity.

If the Houston Rockets make this deal, they’ll be able to dump the rest of Oladipo’s contract on the Knicks and focus on rebuilding with the guys they currently have. The Rockets would surely thank themselves later for making a trade like this, that’s for sure.
