LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers have had a rough first half of the 2020-21 NBA season. After a solid start, the Lakers saw Anthony Davis go down with an injury and began to struggle. Now, they could be looking to make a move or two ahead of the NBA trade deadline to help solidify themselves as championship contenders once again.

While everyone wants the Lakers to trade for a star, that is very unlikely. Instead, the Lakers should be focusing on bringing in role players that will fit around James and Davis.

Looking at the current landscape of the NBA trade market, there are quite a few talents that could make sense for the team. Los Angeles needs more shooting and they could use more help in the front-court. Both of those needs could be filled.

Rob Pelinka and company firmly believe that the team could win another NBA championship even if they don’t make another move. However, making a move would be wise due to the amount of improved teams around them in the Western Conference.
