This Magic-Raptors trade gives Mo Bamba a fresh start

There’s no doubt that Orlando Magic center Mo Bamba hasn’t had the greatest start to his NBA career thus far, but that could all change with a change of scenery. The Toronto Raptors could be an interested team in giving Mo Bamba a shot.

With Nikola Vucevic playing at an All-Star level, there just doesn’t appear to be a clean pathway to provide mintues for Bamba. Vucevic has a lot of good basketball left and has only improved since Bamba was selected in the 2018 NBA Draft.

The Toronto Raptors need a big man presence on the floor and adding the talented Bamba could certainly help. The Raptors are loaded with some great talent that could take a lot of pressure off the development of Bamba as well.

If you put Mo Bamba on a team that has Pascal Siakam, Kyle Lowry, and Fred VanVleet, they could see a lot of success in the near future. The Raptors franchise is known for their player development success and could be an ideal landing spot for Bamba to take the next step.

So far, this season, Bamba is averaging 4.8 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 0.2 assists. Bamba is also shooting the ball well as he’s made 52.2 percent of his shots from the floor and 36.8 percent of his three point shots.

Bamba is improving in his shot selection and accuracy, and he could be a great prospect for the Toronto Raptors to add to the mix. Let’s take a look at what a potential trade between these two teams could look like.
