Why This Trade Would Benefit The Miami Heat
The Miami Heat has had an inconsistent season because of lack of depth and some injury suffered the beginning of the year. Jimmy Butler missed time but has been on the floor recently. Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro have taken their game to the next level, which will help moving forward.
What the Heat need is some more leadership. Barnes has experience on some winning teams during his days with the Golden State Warriors. This would go along way down the stretch in the Heat come the second half of the season and playoffs.
Miami could use some more three-point shooting and Barnes is having a strong year from beyond New York. He is averaging 16.7 points per game, which is second on the Kings at the moment.

This is the ideal move for a team looking to compete right away. The Heat have watched the rest of the teams in the Eastern Conference improve and they know that they will need to keep up and they can do so at the deadline.
