Why This Trade Would Benefit The Houston Rockets
When a team trades Russell Westbrook and James Harden in the same year, it is clear that they are interested in completely rebuilding from the bottom. Houston acquired John Wall in the Russell Westbrook deal and signed Christian Wood in free agency. They have been the leaders of the team to this point of the season.
Victor Oladipo is averaging 19.9 points in 15 games since coming to Houston. The Rockets quickly acquired Oladipo from the Indiana Pacers after they sent Harden to Brooklyn. Oladipo turned down a contract extension and could be one of the names sent away.
PJ Tucker and Eric Gordon are also on the block. In return, Houston would get some intriguing players in Ferguson and Scott. A first-round pick would also be beneficial as the team looks to reload in the Western Conference.

The front office in Houston had a complete overhaul. Stephen Silas is now the head coach and the franchise looks completely different. This means there will be sometime before they will compete again and this deal would point them in that direction because of the assets returning.
