Why This Trade Would Benefit The New Orleans Pelicans
This would be an interesting fit for a player like Victor Oladipo. He would certainly make the team better and create a bit of a big three along with Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson. The interesting part would be what the long-term plan is for the New Orleans Pelicans.
This seems like a move that would not last long. Victor Oladipo would help the Pelicans to send away some of their players that have been on the NBA trade block. It is assume that Oladipo wants to play for a contender and the Pelicans have years before they are going to compete.
While Oladipo would make them better on paper, the Western Conference is very difficult and the Pelicans will have to make a lot of moves if they want to compete right away.

Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram are the future of the team and it is now about putting the right players around them. The front office will have to decide if Oladipo is that right player and if he is going to stick around long-term. If this is just a dump for other veterans, they can look for deals with smaller players.
