For the last 5 seasons, Toronto has finished with 50+ wins, but with them already having 17 losses this season, it seems like this streak will finally be coming to an end. This does not necessarily mean though that the Raptors’ playoff run is coming to an end. This team has no All-Stars this year for the first time in eight years, but when they are fully healthy, they are still a very solid basketball team.
Soon to be 35-years old, Kyle Lowry is still playing at a high-level, both Fred VanVleet and Pascal Siakam are borderline All-Stars and with the emergence of Norman Powell, the Raptors are definitely a team that could turn themselves into a threat come playoff time.
The only question that remains is where does this organization go from here? After losing to the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference Semifinals last season, both Marc Gasol and Serge Ibaka left in free agency and it does not seem like this team has enough firepower anymore to compete with some of the top teams in the East.

They definitely have the experience and a lot of talented players, but this team does not have the ability to drastically outscore their opponents, which is why Toronto could be facing a tough decision to quickly rebuild their playoff contending roster. With not much overall depth and a lack of talent on the wing, could the Raptors look to leverage Pascal Siakam? They will certainly be a team to watch in NBA trade rumors ahead of the deadline.
It is definitely a long-shot to think about, but the Nuggets are a team that could be looking to add an All-Star talent at the trade deadline and they have numerous assets to offer up that could prove to be beneficial to Toronto long-term.
With that being said, let’s take a look at what a trade scenario by Bleacher Report’s Zach Buckley involving Pascal Siakam could look like between the Nuggets and the Raptors.
