Why This Trade Would Benefit The Memphis Grizzlies
Jonas Valanciunas has been the second-best player in Memphis this season, after Ja Morant. Dillon Brooks is also having a strong season for the Grizzlies. At the NBA trade deadline, we could see them looked at more fire power in the backcourt as they hope to return to relevance.
Spencer Dinwiddie would be a nice complement to Ja Morant in the backcourt. He is a guard who can handle the ball in the half court or play off the ball. This would give the Grizzlies plenty of options on both ends and with their rotation.
Dinwiddie also has the ability to come off the bench, which he has done for a majority of his time in Brooklyn. Landry Shamet and Nicolas Claxton are two other players that could help their prowess from three-point range.

Memphis is not a championship contender and will not become one at the NBA trade deadline. This is a move for the future and one that could help them build around Morant quickly.
