Why This Trade Would Benefit The Indiana Pacers
The Pacers are not impressive to this point in the season. They have made the postseason nine times in the last 10 years but have struggled recently but have struggled recently. The Pacers have lost in the first round in each of the last five years.

It began with Oladipo being traded. Since the deal, attention has turned elsewhere and players like Myles Turner have been mentioned in NBA trade rumors. This deal is not going to change their fortunes but it would land them some draft capital for a player on an expiring contract.

Indiana has shown that they are interested in building around Brogdon and Sabonis. They can do this by landing some draft capital to add prospects or flip in another deal for an impact player. Right now, the Pacers are not a deep team and it is showing in the standings.
Indiana is benefitting from a weak conference so there is still a chance to make a run. It will have to begin sooner than later and deals at the deadline could have them in the right direction.
