After being picked to finish near the bottom of the league last season, the Oklahoma City Thunder made the playoffs pretty convinced as the 5-seed in the Western Conference. This year, they were picked to finish near the bottom of the league and so far, the Thunder are 12-19 and definitely can make a case for being a playoff team this year.

They are currently four games back from being the 8-seed in the Western Conference and have a bunch of young talents that have played really well this year. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander looks like a superstar caliber guard and with other key talents like Luguentz Dort, Darius Bazley, Hamidou Diallo and Isaiah Robey all stepping into bigger roles this year, the Thunder actually look like a pretty decent team.

They are young, they are hungry and most importantly, they are playing like they have nothing to lose! All of the pressure every single game is on the other team to beat the Thunder because of “bad PR” that could come with a loss and this team has competed in every game they have played in.

Kevin Knox should absolutely be a player the OKC Thunder are willing to take a chance on because he is young and fits that mold of “playing with a chip on his shoulder.” He is a former first-round pick and still has a lot of potential to grow into something special, so why not take a chance on him this season?

Nobody picked the Thunder to make the playoffs this year and they have nothing to lose in terms of making/missing the playoffs so why not take a shot at Knox? They could probably get him for virtually nothing and they have the draft compensation to give up a pick or two, so it makes total sense for the Thunder to be a team interested in Kevin Knox.
