Los Angeles Lakers Receive: Victor Oladipo
Houston Rockets Receive: Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Markieff Morris, Jared Dudley, 2026 1st Round Pick
The Los Angeles Lakers could be able to get Victor Oladipo for cheap because of his current contract situation. He is in the final year of his deal, which is the reason he was traded out of Indiana in the first place.
The Houston Rockets could do the same thing for a return that would make more sense moving forward in their rebuild. Oladipo already turned down a two-year extension worth the maximum compensation the Rockets are eligible to offer, which will make it difficult to keep him beyond the NBA trade deadline.

That return could begin with Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. He has been one of the biggest trade pieces for Los Angeles, along with Kyle Kuzma. The Rockets would also acquire Markieff Morris and Jared Dudley, along with a first-round pick in 2026.
Let’s take a closer look and see how this deal would help both teams right away.
