This Knicks-Timberwolves trade gives Kevin Knox II a fresh start

Why This Trade Would Benefit The New York Knicks

Right now, Kevin Knox II does not have a place on the Knicks. It’s a simple as that. Along with Frank Ntilikina, Knox has been moved to the bench and is not getting playing time this season. Tom Thibodeau clearly has his rotation set and has stuck to it through the first half of the season.

The Knicks are winning games on defense. They currently lead the league allowing just 104.4 points per game. If they had any semblance of an offense, this team might be a little over .500. The offense has struggled at times and this is the reason they could look to make a deal for a star.

They will have to decide what is worth giving up. Julius Randle is in the second of a three-year contract he signed last offseason and could be a trade piece if the next do not want to sign him long-term.
